Hello Bloggers!!!

As I said before, I used to dislike blogging... or at least I wasn't a fan. I didn't really see the point. Most of the blogs I came across were either very negative or very silly.

Well, after recently reading a lot of blogs all over the internet - including yours here on ECMSB, I have slowly but surely become a fan of blogging. Now I leave comments on blogs whenever I am on news sites, music sites, or social networking sites. I even have my own blogs on my music pages on Facebook and Reverb Nation! You should check them out sometime...

Before I go, let me remind you to make at least on (or two) comments on the blogs left by your classmates here on ECMSB.

I have a little sister. I'm not going to say her name, but she is a brat.Today on the bus I was listening to music and it wasn't even that loud. Well, she was reading and she said the music was too loud. I took out my head phones too listen to how loud it was and I didn't hear anything! That situation happened twice, and then she got mad. She started to hit me because I wasn't listening to her. I hit her back, yadda yadda yadda. Then she kicked me, leaving a big dirt stain on my pants! Lastly, she took gum that was stuck on the bus window and put in on me + my backpack. I then slapped her, yelled "stop!" and threatened to tell mom... and I am! She took it too far.

The Best Day Ever

Today   was a    great day  because I had  so  much  fun in art class drawing Keith  Haring; it  was cool. It was amazing how  everybody else was drawing. We also had fun eating pizza that was cheesey   and        hot.

Among The Betrayed by Margaret Peterson Haddix

This book is about a girl named Nina. She is an illegal third child.Where she lives, mothers can't have more than 2 kids. She was betrayed by her love, Jason, who was trying to help third children everywhere. He got arrested too, but he lied to the population police and told them that Nina had a plan to turn in a lot of illegal third children, but that wasn't true. She was put through a test where she had a choice to betray these 3 kids or she could die herself. The kids names were Matthias, Percy, and Alia. Matthias was 10 yrs old, Percy was 9, and Alia was only 6 yrs old. There was this one part when a guard got poisoned and Nina got to take his keys. She escaped with all the 3 kids and they went to the all-girls school that she went to before she got arrested. The good thing was that a kid named Luke was growing a garden there and Nina was stealing food. So when she went to go get food, Luke caught her red-handed. She was so surprised that Luke didn't remember her. At the end of the story, Nina passed the test that she was given. She was sooo surprised.

THE BOOK life on the refrigerator door is incredible  that book almost had me in tears reading class.It was sad at the end.Claires mother died from cancer .And her and her mom had like the worst relationship  ever in mother-daughter history .But i aint gonna ruin the surprises more than i all ready have so ima goooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!And leave you with this:Bye,

Upsetting Times BY OLIVIA URSINI

Today was kind of upsetting. In literature class, we had to write a journal prompt about loosing a friend, and I basically poured 1/8 of my heart out. It was on paper; I never did that before. This wasn't any ordinary friendship, I really, really, really cared about this person and the situation made everything horrible. It kept getting awkward and soon we stopped being friends completely. Then, we stopped talking and had a ''messenger'' say whatever we wanted to say to each other. After writing about this, I seemed frustrated and full of thought. Everything that happened that day was coming back to me; that's probably why I was frustrated. This is just one of my upsetting times. I don't want to talk about any other upsetting times because I will get even more upset.

No more bullying

Being a bully is not really cool.They make people feel bad about themselves.Some people don't want to stand up to others because they're afraid that they might get bullied too. Also, the victims want to end their own lives because they can't take being bullied anymore. So don't try to bully anybody. If you see someone being bullied then try to get a adult. Finally, heres one thing you need to know: DO NOT BULLY ANY ONE!!!!!

SEASONS

OMG! I can't wait 4 Summer. Even though Winter is the best season of all time   because it has my birthday and the best holiday and thing since sliced bread...........Christmas! I love it, especially the awesome presents. No socks or clothes,  just a big, heaping pile of cool stuff. I really hate fall because it's soooooooo ugly. A lot of people say those leaves scattered all over the place is nice, but I really don't like orange or green, but red is pretty so i guess that makes it a little better, and easier 2 deal with and on top of that there's naked trees:( Then half of the birds go away and it seems like there's nothing left but humans, which can be very annoying but I get used 2 it by winter. Spring is nice except 4 the pollen. And what makes it worst is that i have allergies! But i like seeing the sun a lot and wearing short sleeves. And hanging out at the park or being able 2 ride my skateboard without getting frost bite. Summer is pretty much the same as Spring, but the heat can be overwhelming. And i hate the thunder storms - they creep me out. So i guess I'll go now.

CONFUSION BY OLIVIA URSINI

Many people confuse me a lot. Not like I don't understand what they are saying;It's more of them telling me one thing and then saying another. To me, people should just keep their promises and move on. For example, my uncle said that he would take me to the store. He said in a few minutes,but when 4 hours passed, I got the feeling that he wasn't going to take me. All he was doing was sitting in his room either watching movies or tv. That's not important ,but yet, he has time to do something that destroys the human mind. GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT. Anyway, that is what I mean when I say saying one thing and doing another. It's crazy to me. Another time was when my mom said to go to bed and then allows me to stay up watching movies all night. I didn't mind that because the movies were good, they were scary by the way; I always do a great job too when I'm tired ,but the point is that good parents shouln't allow their child to be up watching movies. Let alone scary ones, even though i stay up anyway and fall asleep whenever. If I ever have kids, they would not be staying up like I do. It's not healthy. DO THE RIGHT THING.

Now that I am a daily blogger, I find blogging to be more interesting and more fun than I used to. I am particularly enjoying reading the student blogs from the blog class. It's always interesting to know what they are thinking...

I am trying to challenge them to use proper punctuation and spelling, even though the nature of blogging is informal... I am also challenging the bloggers to write about topics that are interesting and relevant to others... and topics that don't include either Justin Bieber or Chris Brown, lol... then again, it always depends on what you say, not just what topic you write about.

EMMITT TILL: OMG!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! IT WAS ALL DUE TO TWO RACIST WHITES (MILAN AND BRYANT)! I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT SUCH A HORRENDOUS MURDER/LYNCHING  TOOK PLACE  IN 1955! POOR EMMITT WAS ONLY 14 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH/MURDER! I WOULD SHOW YOU THE GROSS PICTURE OF HOW HE LOOKED, BUT IT'S TOO DISGUSTING! I ACTUALLY CRIED WHEN I SAW THAT IMAGE! HIS HEAD WAS ALL BUSTED UP! I JUST CANT BELIEVE IT! I HAVE TO GO BEFORE I GROSS MYSELF OUT ANY LONGER!

Boy's & Girl's Basketball @ ECCP

Greetings!

It's day number two (for me) of the blogging class...
Today I want to shout out the boy's and girl's basketball teams at Elm City College Prep. I had the privilege and honor of coaching these two teams this year. I can honestly say that there are some talented scholar-athletes in this school.
Both teams had a winning record and both teams made great improvements as the season progressed.
Congratulations to the eighth graders for closing your middle school sports career on a high note, and especially for beating Amistad Academy at home!!!

                        Cyberbullying is not cool.It can lead you being in big trouble.Like if someone sends you an email that says your ugly, you might get your feelings hurt and might think you're a loser.So if you're a person who cyberbullies, you should stop right now. Also, you should not have a phone or computer if you're using your computer for bullying.
                          One time my friend  had trouble with a kid at school. After school,both went on the computer,and started taunting each other.Then when they came back to school, they had a fight and got suspended for a week. That's why cyberbullying is not cool.

Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

This is the best Narnia movie yet. The charaters the action so so so good. My family and I were up until 1:00A.M watching it. I guess all together our favorite charater was Edmund and Lucy's cousin, Eustace. As my mom said Eustace has a flat face and I agree. Along with that I think that Eustace makes a lot of funny faces & he is a schreeching wimp.Why cry over being a dragon? The Lovely Bones-by Alexandra Taylor

The Lovely Bones,a movie by Peter Jackson & a book, is very sad and kind of depressing.It's about a girl who gets murdered at 14 years old.I don't want to give too much away,but the guy who kills her is psycho,but seems like your typical Joe.Even though the movie makes you feel all down,it can teach you a valuable lesson.Don't think everybody's a serial killer,but always keep your eyes open.The last thing I'm saying is that if you watch this movie,have a big box of tissues ready.Trust me, you will most likely cry.

First Day I Came To Elm City

The first day I came to Elm City I thought it was scary because I thought the teachers was mean and i thought everybody was going to be mean to me and make fun of me,but they wasn't i made a couple of friends and they turned out to be pretty fun i like this school because we go on scholar dollar trips and we go on end of the year trips for people who did the right things and i think its fun because i been here for almost four years.

Family is very special but sometimes they're annoying. I cherish my loved ones a lot. My sisters are the ones who put me on an edge where i want to jump and freak out. Kind of like having a breakdown. I've had a breakdown before. It's horrible. Now i'm not gonna lie my mom and uncle both get on my nerves. That's about the only thing that they have in common. My dad also annoys me too. He is always asking me to do stuff for him. At first i liked helping because i'm a helpful person but later it got aggervating. Like yesterday my dad and uncle were doing a like home buisness type with doing detailing cars; then my dad asked me to do something when my uncle was right there. It's not my job and i'm not getting a cut of the money so don't ask me to do anything. People can be crazy at times.

First Day With The Elm City Bloggers

Hello out there... today I took over supervision of the blogging class at Elm City College Prep... in the Encore program, of course.... I really had no idea what to expect when Ms. Dornbier asked me to take over this class. I blog occasionally, but, frankly, I don't personally find blogging all that interesting. Whenever I read blogs, it's usually someone ranting about something OR panting and drooling over their favorite celeb OR sharing something ridiculous that I don't want to know about...

However, I believe this will be an interesting class to be a part of... there are some talented writers here and very nice students as well. Today, I had the privilege of overseeing seven engaging young ladies, blogging to their hearts content... I don't even mind that two of the girls are obsessed with The Bieber... (I mean, these girls got it bad - Biebermania is in full effect at ECCP!!! Who knew?) I guess I should have seen it coming, lol... well, at least the girls love music - one of my favorite things!

So, here we go... head first into another Elm City adventure... this should be a very interesting Spring.
