this song is soo cute.one part that i know really well is the hook it goes like this "YOUR THE APPLE TO MY PIE YOUR THE STRAW TO MY BERRY YOUR THE SMOKE TO MY HIGH AND YOUR THE ONE I WANNA MARRY"that is like one of the parts that i know really well.there is this other part that goes like this "YOU CAN BE THE RAIN FROM TE CLOUD WHEN ITS STORMIN OR YOU COULD BE THE SUN WHEN IT SHINES IN THE MORNIN"This is like the only song i know from her.my cousin had it on one day and i asked her who it was and she said auburn.i didn't know who it was but i liked it so i looked it up.i actually liked it.yeah well there is this other song that i think is by her but i don't know.the picture that i posted was really cute.its also one of the lines that are in the song.so this picture goes perfectly with this song.

End Of The Year: Blues or Bliss???

Today marks the official last blogging class we will have together this school year. Tomorrow, of course, is the Encore festival. I'm sure that will be a fun time for everybody! Next Monday, I plan to bring you all to visit the New Haven Register so you can how and where professional writers work.

As I reflect on this school year, I must say that I enjoyed meeting all of you and I hope you learned a little bit more about writing and I hope you are more comfortable expressing your feelings with words. Some of you have shown some real potential as writers and I encourage you to pursue some kind of writing career. There are so many opportunities out there...

You could be a journalist, news reporter, magazine writer, comic book writer, comedy writer, commercial writer, speech writer, song writer, poet, novel writer, biographer, editor, proofreader, music critic, even, yes.... a professional BLOGGER!

Or maybe you want to keep all of your thoughts to yourself and write in journals and diaries for the rest of your life.... whatever you choose to do, my friends, write well, write clearly, write with emotion, and write with honesty and integrity, and you can't go wrong.

THE END OF THE YEAR TRIP

Memorial Day BY OLIVIA URSINI

On Memorial Day, I went out to eat at a place called PACIFIC BUFFET. The food is good [I GUESS]. It gets boring especially when you eat the same thing every time you go there. Hopefully my family feels the same way so that we could stop going there. We don't celebrate Memorial Day though. We just wanted to eat obviously. Memorial Day is still special to many families who have family members in the army or other things similar to that. The only time I got close to being in the army was when I play the video game. It's like real life. You should play if you haven't. It's very fun.

End of The Year Trip

I can't wait to qo on the end of the year trip because I won't have anymore homework and this is my last trip because I'm qettinq ready to qradute soon. The 7th and 8th qraders are qoinq to California.The 5th and 6th qraders are qoinq to Camp Jewel in Rhode Island. I think the end of the year trip is fun because you don't have to be at the school anymore. And you won't be aqqravated by the teacher, and we are qoinq to do a lot of fun thinqs.

Memories

One of my favorite memories of this year was the readathon. It was so much fun for a lot of people, including me. I read about a lot of things that day. I also got a lot of free books. I talked a lot, smiled a lot, and read a lot. It was an event to remember. -Alexandra Taylor

Hey, it's me Alexis.Today, I'm writing about one of my favorite memories.It was right after the first  report card.We[my mom, my sister & I] were leaving when Ms.Lequire asked about our grades. I told her how I had a B+ on Math[ thanks Mr.Lore], just kidding! Other than that I had A's on everything else.She then encouraged me to keep on going.Then Ms.Shah came  & joined in.After she found out about my grades we all started talking about other topics & we all ended up cracking up.It was a funny event that I will never forget.

Vocal 4 Change

This year I join a singing group called VOCAL 4 CHANGE. It is really fun. We have some good gigs. The group is made up mostly of my friends, my teachers, and my cousin's girlfriend. We performed at this college in New York. We even got to sing at City Field and be on TV, watch the game, and had by far the most amazing experience in our lives. Today we are having a party to celebrate our last practice. I know that I'm going to do this next year. This will be a great kick off for my singing career.

 This is Prince Royce. He is Puerto Rican and he is a singer. He has a bunch of songs that I adore. I am just going to list some, like CORAZON SIN CARA, TU Y YO, ROCK THE PANTS, TU HOMBRE SOY YO, STAND BY ME, and a bunch of other songs. He is a Spanish singer, but in some of his songs he uses English, especially on ROCK THE PANTS. My favorite song from him is TU Y YO and TU HOMBRE SOY YO. I love those songs. He is really young too.

YESTERDAY NIGHT, I WENT WALKING WITH MY UNCLE. FIRST WE WENT TO THE STORE 3 TIMES. AFTER GETTING HOME, WE DECIDED TO GO ON A WALK. WE WENT FOR ABOUT 4 MILES. OF COURSE WE WENT HOME AGAIN. WHILE SITTING TO REST, MY UNCLE MADE ANOTHER ROUTE. IT WAS ANOTHER 4 MILES. THAT WAS LIKE THE BEST NIGHT EVER. TOO BAD MY UNCLE SAID HE WOULD ONLY DO THIS 1 TIME A WEEK. AT LEAST I THINK I LOST 10 POUNDS. TOO BAD FOR ME.

My Bad Day

Well today I had the worst day ever. Today its like I cant even recognize myself my day was the worst. GOD'S PROMISE

Welcome back to the class... I hope you had a great weekend!

During my weekend, I went to a college graduation for Central CT State University. My girlfriend's oldest daughter, Melissa, graduated this past Saturday. After the graduation, we returned home to set up for Melissa's graduation party in the backyard.

All week long and all day Saturday, I kept thinking about the "end of the world" predictions.... I didn't believe ANY of it, but I was still curious - like everybody else - to see what would happen.
Well, sometime around 6:00 pm, probably later, I looked up at the sky....

I don't know what I was looking for, but what I saw AMAZED me... I witnessed the most beautiful rainbow I had ever seen! It was ENORMOUS and very colorful and it seemed to be shimmering... The first thing that came to my mind was "everything is going to be fine." How did I know? Well, the rainbow was like a message from God... at least that's what I felt.

One of my family members then said, "you know what they say about a rainbow... that's God's Promise." All I could say was "wow..." God promised ME personally - all of us really - that despite all of the end-of-the-world predictions and natural disasters and civil conflicts going on all around the world, everything is going to be fine... the coolest thing about the rainbow for me (besides its beauty) was that, in my backyard, I saw it first!

THE WORLD WAS SUPPOST TO END BUT IT DIDN'T by angie soto

On Friday my cousin texted me that the world was suppost to end on Saturday at 6:00p.m. I didn't believe her at first bcuz I was confused and plus she always jokes about that stuff.I hate when she does that so i just didn't believe her.But then i was watching the news with my mom.it was in Spanish so the most i of it that i heared was that there was this old man who was saying that the world was going to end on May 21,2011.The weird thing was that he was the same man who said that the world end in 1994.(at least around that time).Then i kind of got a feeling that the old man wasn't so sure because when the lady who was asking him questions said that if they were still alive on Sunday if she could ask him some questions on why he was wrong.The old man said no.I was a little bit more sure that the world was not going to end at that point.The news also said that it said some stuff in the bible that lead certain people to believe that the world was going to end.Then i went to my cousin's house like i always do on everyday that it's nice outside.She wanted me to sleep over because we are like best friends and she wanted me to be with her for the "last days of her life."I asked my mom if it was okayy and she said yes so i slept over that night.When we woke up we went to IHOP.The food was so good and then after that we went to go buy some food so my aunt could sell.We went to her house like at 2 o'clock.Around 5:30 my cousin was counting down the time until 6 o'clock.At like 5:59 me and my cousin were playing around and then we saw the clock turn to 6 o'clock.We turned up to look at the sky and nothing happened.We were so happy and we were just like yes thank you GOD!!!!!I stayed the rest of the day there.It was so fun because we played the rest of the day.I also got money because i worked selling food with my cousin.That day was better than i thought it would be.At last i just want to thank god for letting us live longer.Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3x10,000

I WAS WATCHING 106 AND PARK ,WHICH INSPIRED ME TO WRITE THIS, BUT ANYWAY THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT THE UPCOMING B.E.T. AWARDS (BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION) AND THAT BROUGHT ME BACK TO WHEN CHRIS BROWN WAS AT THE B.E.T. I went 2 Manhatten on saturday with my vocal 4 change group.At 1:30 my group had 2 meet at ECCPMS in blue skinny jeans and whatever shirt we wanted.Our teen directors gave us blue t-shirts that said vocal 4 change on it.On the ride there,my group saw tons of limos.One limo was surronded by people with cameras!!!!!!!Sadly,when we pulled away ,they opened the door.We tried our best 2 see who it was,but it was too far away.Jaden Smith and Justin Bieber were scueduled in Manhatten to perform that weekend,so I was wondering if that could've been them.When we got to the place,we waited for the people to come.We sang LEAN ON ME ,WE ARE THE WORLD,and SING OUT.The food there was awesome.Jami and I did a step performance to the group ,and they asked us to do an encore.Aminata recorded it on her camera .I learned how to do the walk it out for Step so i won't embaress myslef at the performance.We settled down on the way back home ,and Jami and me fell asleep sitting next to each other listening to her MP3 PLAYER. This saturday we are going to perform STAND UP AMERICA at the METS game.Hope you can make it,Jamilah Shakur

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY.Ugh i hate rain like literally hate it so badly.It's suppost to rain the whole week.Luckily on Saturday and Sunday it's suppost to be really nice more than 70 degrees.That is so awesome for me because my uncle is starting his championship at his house of indoor (soccer like on cement) all my friends are going to be there.i'm going to sleep over my cousin's house so i can be like the first one there.my friend that i haven't seen in a long time.he lives kind of far away.he lives in New Britain , but we are like best friends.he comes on Saturdays because his uncle lives really close to the house were the championship is.Incase you have no clue what i'm talking about when i say the place it's like a normal backyard.it's all cement and my uncle has championships of soccer at about the beggining of June and at the end of August.The weather is still pretty good.So the first championship is finally this Saturday.My uncle is so lucky because all of this awful rain is going to be cleared out by then.It's finally going to feel like it's suppost to feel.Anyways back to what i was talking about.This horrible rain is ruinig the things that i do on the weekdays.i normally go to my cousin's house on days that it;s really nice because my dad goes to play and when they are done the kids start to play.We have games of soccer but just for fun not like the older men who play for money.It's also ruining my practice days.Since the rain isn't suppost to stop untill Friday.So i hope that the rain stops.I want to get to the championships.I want to see my friends so badly because i miss them so much.

I really like hanging out with my friends because they are so nice and cool and they are fun to be around with.When i with my friends and I'm feeling down they will cheer me up.They make me laugh everyday because most of them are in my class and on my bus.

Today, I want to blog about saving money. It's one of the most difficult tasks for most people who earn money, especially since most of us earn money to pay bills, buy food and clothing, etc. For those of us who have big families to support, saving money can be nearly impossible. Between groceries, school clothes, car payments, trips to the gas station, bill payments, and many other family expenses, I, personally, have a hard time with saving money.

While you are still young, I suggest you learn all you can about money management, so that when you become an adult, not only will you have financial knowledge, you will also be inspired to be a good money manager.

So, for those of you who babysit, get allowances, earn money for chores, shovel snow in the winter, rake leaves in the fall, or work over the summer, don't just spend all of your money as soon as you get it....
 STACK THAT PAPER!!!! And learn how to make it grow.....

my fake sisters

Fake sisters are Jamilah Aaliyah Shakur and Haadiyah Amirah Shakur. As you can see they are real sisters , but that doesn't bother me. They've been my friends for  7 years by grades. They are the best even though they are annoying sometimes. Jamilah and Haadiyah are both funny and as I say always they are weird. They are weird and funny because they say the weirdest things.Yesterday they said that Jamilah was singing this song called coming home she got mad when Haadiyah corrected her .She took a deep breathe/gasp and fell out/sprawling on the floor.She kept gasping saying that she is having heart burn. Too too too too too too too too too too too too too funny. I was loling and rotfing.

Hey, it's me Alexis,I'm doing a movie review.Insidious is about a family who moves into this house.Everything after that goes wrong.One of their sons suddenly has a coma.Weird things start to happen after wards.The mom hears voices yelling at her baby.The other son claims to see his brother walk around & then stare at him at night.Also, the families see faces out of windows& get attacked by spirits ; plus more..Also, not everything is what it seems... Why& how is this happening?See the movie to find out. Being Right

I don't know about you, but I love being right.There was an incident on Tuesday. I had to go to  extension. The teachers had said that I got extension because my forms were late. My little sister saw that once I got into  school, I put both forms into the bin were they are supposed to go into. So I had to stay in extension for the whole time. I was trying to be patient so on Wednesday, so I didn't say anything. I had proof and witnesses that I turned in my work, signed and on time.Then after 2 days, Mr.Butler comes up to me and says that I wasn't suppose to be in extension, so if I get extension again I won't have to go.wwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy because I knew I was right.

if i had a million bucks then i would do alot of things with it.some of that money would go for me but the other half i would spend on helping others.i would spend some of it buying shoes and other clothes.i would of course spend some money on my family because they have been through everything with me and i love them for that.i will want to spend some money especially on my parents well just because i love them.they are both 2 of the best people that i ahve in my life.i have no clue were i would be without them.even though i really do not like my little sister because she gets really annoying all the time i would spend some of my money on her too.even if she would probably want to spend it all on candy or on toys i would understand.she is a little girl and she doesn't understand what is really important but she will when she gets bigger.as for the rest of the money i will pay back someof the money that i owe others.i know that i have to pay back with money or with some kind of tool that the person let me  borrow but that i never gave back.that is especially put for my cousins which have given me a lot of stuff.my list of things that i would buy for myself is endless (well at least untill the $ finishes).i would also try to send some money to hospitals that really need it.also to those foster homes because when i see those kids on tv it just makes me really sad.some times i even start to cry.my mom sends money over there to so i want to follow her steps too.she has been a big rolemodel for me.she has practically always taken my sid when my little sister does something wrong but while my dad takes her side.i really don't care because i know if i'm telling the truth or not.plus whenever i feel guity i have to confess because if i don't then i have ths really weird feeling in my tummy.anyways back to the topic of having a MILLION BUCKS. i would be the luckiest person that i knew.i would be able to help a bunch of people while still helping myself.so if i had that much money one of the first things i would do is help my family then i would go shopping.i would also help out foundations or charities.well that is it so bye.

What A Lie by Olivia Ursini

I asked my ''friend'' if she likes the boy I like and she said no. Like ten minutes later, she was flirting with him. SHE BASICALLY LIED TO ME. It's strange because she has a boyfriend. OH AND GUESS WHAT,she knows that I like him. [This happened today during school] It really ''urked'' my nerves. We are still friends but not close enough for me to tell her stuff anymore. The only thing that I have to do is find out if he likes her. Hopefully not. My other friend told me that he doesn't which is good for me,but she does not know for sure. Good thing she is finding out this afternoon. WISH GOOD LUCK FOR ME GUYS.

my practice was yesterday.it was so boring.even though yesterday was really hot.it still didn't make up for the boredum of the practice.my thighs are killing me.i had to do these leap frog thing that really hurt.i had some serious pain in my legs.the bad thing is that i think i have practice today again.but if i have it today then i have with these other people.by people i mean older woman.i like the place were i practice on wednesdays because it is at my cousin's house.i do want to go because it looks really nice outside today.the sun is shining.even if my legs hurt i will try to get through the pain.i did it last year so i think i can do it this year too.i really want to be there too because i want to see my friends they are really fun.my friends are kind of "not smart" but that is okayy.i especially like going because my best friend always has gossip and she is always saying stuff about her family and then i always tell her.i met her when i was like 4 years old since then we have become closer tha ever.she is like a sister than me.sometimes my mom gets mad because i spend more time with her than with my own sister.well anyways i'm going i ran out of time so bye and wish me luck on my practice.
